New Natives is an ongoing project and research into the language of desire for community.
Calls for the formation of community are drawn from the intentional communities directory. The words are embodied by the artists and given voice. The individual desire for a collective ideal is explored. The video “New Natives” was official selection of Fondazione March’s “cameraVideo” and was screened at Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura, Genova, Italy, Medionauta Gallery, Milano, Italy, Sils Project Space, Rotterdam, Nethernlands, Tina B. Posters with the words of the “new natives” call were printed and hung around Cali, Colombia in the occasion of a residency at Lugar a Dudas. Posters were then printed and hung around Venice, Italy for the exhibition thisPLACE.
